We’ve all seen glimpses of it: bad religion. Leaders that are more self-serving than self-sacrificing. Gatherings that are more concerned with tradition than mission. Movements that are more interested in gaining power than they are showing mercy. If you’ve ever seen it and been turned off by it, know that you are not alone. Jesus saw it, too. And He had a lot to say about it.
In this 5-week series groups will explore Jesus’ challenge to the things that turn good faith into bad. Through Jesus’ words we don’t just find condemnation of bad religion, we find warning and caution for the parts of our hearts that are tempted to love and pursue the wrong things, rather than a Good God.
