Baptism
Our next baptisms are March 31st and April 7th!
3/31 Baptisms | 8:30, 10, & 11:30a
We will have baptisms on March 31st, Easter Sunday, at our 8:30, 10, and 11:30a services. Due to service constraints, baptism spots on this day are limited and will be filled on a “first-come, first-served” basis. Please register for your desired spot, and our Care & Events Coordinator will be in touch with you if changes are needed. We so look forward to celebrating baptisms with you, Northeast!
4/7 Baptisms | 9 & 10:30a
We’re also holding baptisms on April 7th at our 9 and 10:30a service times in response to the good news of Christ shared at Easter. We’re excited to open these baptisms for people responding to our Easter service, people who are out of town on Easter, or people who simply want to be baptized on April 7th. Register below to take that next step in faith!
What is baptism?
At Northeast, we say that Baptism is a public declaration of a private decision. We believe that every person who has placed their faith in Jesus Christ should be baptized in obedience to what He has commanded. Baptism doesn’t save you, but it symbolizes what took place in your heart at the moment you said “yes” to Jesus. Baptism shows that you…
Believe in Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior who forgave your sins through His death on the cross.
Share in Christ’s death and resurrection, illustrated by going under the water (dead to your old life) then rising again (new life).
Because Jesus was baptized by immersion (Matthew 3:16), every baptism in the Bible was by immersion (Acts 8:36-39 for example), and we believe this best symbolizes burial and resurrection, all of the baptisms we celebrate are done in this way.
